With summer coming, campervan availability between June and September shrinks fast in most destinations. Fewer available vehicles already means:
- Fewer model options: the best deals disappear early, and it's not unusual to end up with a bigger model or a higher price range,
- Higher prices: like airlines or train companies, most campervan rental companies adjust their rates weekly based on remaining stock,
- Or not quite the dates you wanted... and for the unluckiest travellers, no availability left at all.

Thanks to today's airlines, finding a flight is fairly straightforward, wherever you're headed, even at the last minute. Finding a campervan available four or five months ahead of your rental dates is a different story.
